The reckless adventurer, the steemian known as @nyarlathotep, left the old excavation site behind him and headed to the South. It was always fun going South, it felt like going back in time…

Through sea and ice he travelled, until he reached the most secluded places in that frozen continent, guided by the manuscripts of mad arabs and crazy dreamers. And there, in front of him, a black abyss yawned, a bottomless pit beckoning to its prey. The ancient ruins of once proud towers & halls stood around him in silence, not even their ungodly builders could imagine the blasphemous horrors that were unleashed in that dark hole and now lurked therein.

And then the thing stirred…

It reached the top and like a patch of contaminated tar, it oozed on the white ice, marring the clear surface. With it, a stench so horrible it made the air itself decompose and fester. At last, overcoming his immobilizing fear, @nyarlathotep gasped and armed himself with his last resort, a weapon so terrible even gods twitched at its sight: an iPHONE! He quickly snapped at the camera and with a loud click! he captured the ancient terror forever in the bytes of a JPG photo!
