How to Draw an Alien Head

Start with an oval. Curved like a water balloon in your hand.

Add a space for the opening of its mouth. Cause lets face it Aliens are way cooler when thier mouths are open.

Rough in some teeth. Don't forget menacing canines.

Tighten up the teeth detail. Add folds under the jaw. Rough in where the large dark area is going on its head.

Add some neck detail. This gives something for the head to sit on, and conveys action. Start looking for dark spaces.


Add some wet detail. I used spital, but it could have easily been blood splatter.

When you have solidified all your details. Start inking them in with a fine marker or a fine fountain pen like I used here.

Once all the fine details in block in the large black areas.

Add a touch of blue...

...and some grey to finish up.

Now your ready to scare the kids in your life.

I expect lots of love, cause isn't that a lot cooler than drawing a flower?
