Today is The Internetional Day of SMILE!
The existence of this holiday we owes Bella Harvey talented artist from the USA. He was not so popular, but one day he woke up famous. Thats because in 1963 one insurance company «State Mutual Life Assurance Company of America» contacted with him with a request to draw memorable logo - the company card.
He draw a SMILEY! The success was so spectacular that even a few months later the smiling faces adorned not only on business cards and badges of the company, and literally everywhere, from matchboxes. In the United States it was even issued a postage stamp with a smiley.
Bell was happy as happy can be a creative person, who realized that his work will survive him for long. Oh, how I understand him!
And in 1999 at the initiative of the artist for the first time celebrated the "World Day of Smiles". This day motto are the words: «Do an act of kindness. Help one person smile »
The characters of my artworks are also smiling to you.

In middle school my dad and I painted a giant
😋on my wall. Probably about 4.5' in diameter. That was back in '94? '95? Never expected emoji back then!After that all my extended relatives gave me smiley stuff for Christmas. And I got smiley'd out.
