Magiliws Great Blenderventures - 005 - Poke Center, The Creation of an Emblem
Introduction
*Welcome to another self-improvement episode of:
"Magiliws Great Blenderventures"
In which even a random discovery becomes the norm.
Progress
Today, at the 28th of June 2017, Magiliw tried to apply the automatic weight to one of his models, which is needed for animations, which involves bones.
But instead of doing so, he found out, that there was a technique called 'Poke Center', which has a similar shortcut to that of 'automatic weight'.
With this newly learned technique, he had this great idea to create emblems.
He experimented with the colors and found out, that white fits the best to any light colored color such as light blue.
He also tried to implement a glossy texture in the first rendering, which created unexpected black dots at the end of the leaves of the light blue colored flower.
Not that it is bad, it actually looks quite fancy, Magiliw has to admit.
He also worked on another emblem, involving the Poke Center:
In this rendering, he neither smoothed the model nor did he add a glossy texture.
For these reasons, the model doesn't reflect the light as strong as the light from the first rendering.
Out of character:
Like already mentioned above, I stumbled over this method by complete coincidence, thus I have looked deeper into and found out, that this method is quite useful to utilize in special scenarios.
If you are interested in utilizing these methods yourself, you shoud definitly check out the sources below!
Quote of the day
"Well, look who I ran into,"
crowed Coincidence
"Please," flirted Fate,
"this was meant to be."
