Drawing Life #10 : Commissioned Scribbles
The real beauty of an artist can be seen in the passion and energy they show when they are performing.
I was asked by a songwriter and singer to draw his portrait in the scribble style as he wanted a unique style for his album cover.
I spent a long time talking about his passion for music and singing. We then took a number of photos in different poses and angles to find the best style and lighting for him. I noticed the way his face was full of energy and deep emotion when he performed. Almost like he was lost in a trance. I watched as his fingers danced on the guitar strings with unchained joy.
He loved the final result and was elated with his portrait. I was very happy to see him look so pleased.

This one might be my favorite. It's not just because there is a guitar in it.
I like the way you placed him in the frame as well as the energy and emotion that you scribbled out.
What size is this? It seems to me that it would be easier to do these very larger..
Thank you @art-mess !! This one is 40x60 cm, I usually use this size for scribble sketches. It's easier to put more details in the large size.

You call this a Scribble Style, but I notice you don't scribble all the time when you do these. Some of your lines are very precise and deliberate! Do you do those careful lines first, and scribble after?
Every lines must be scribbled, you still can make details with deliberate scribbled lines
Have you thought of being a represented illustrator? I could see your art style being used to illustrate editorial articles and portraits.
