Life drawing study in pencil : Hand formations

Hahaha heyo guys! How are ya? Its been a while since my last post and it was about my birthday, epic isn't it? Lol
Well, For the past days i've been very busy doing school stuff and I even spent my birthday making just a single project all night, yeah really sad thats why I haven't had enough time to post and sneak a bit in here.
So now im gonna show you one of the plates(semi exercises) that I had made for my subject, Visual communication 2.
Tadaaan! ~ This exercise is important to atest your ability in identifying the most precise values, tones, textures, etc in life drawing. These are my hands by the way. The first hand on the left formed like a letter K and the other one... Ahm... Roar? Kung-fu Lol wasnt really sure about it that time but it seemed cool to watch so I chose it. Now for the process, I chose 2 hand formations first then made an outline of it using a 2b pencil I always had a hard time drawing a hand before so I researched about how to do it and practiced it slowly. Then I started shading the first hand on the left and added some details after. After detailing the left hand, I added a black background to emphasize its details more. I then added some shadings and details on the other hand. Same as with the first hand, i added a black background to emphasize the values and details of the hand. And lastly, for the finalization. I shaded the remaining part of the background and added more details to the hands. Then... Done! Done! But the name was written at the back as instructed just a stomp as proof of work lol And for the closer view. Making this exercise was fun, hardwork-worthy and gave a lot of lessons. I committed mistakes and did experiment some techniques as I made this plate so i'll apply those techniques and be more careful next time! 😊
This hand formation was a bit difficult since it has a complex position, so I was extra careful doing it. I also used 6b for the background and 2b for some details.
