Some times when I am painting figures, there is a story around them which is immediately formed. Other times, such as in this case, it takes forever for it to reveal itself.

I don't know why but i like the one wide band of light on the right thigh. It gives a unique sense of depth...or something like that (If that makes sense)
anyways, really cool painting.
Cheers Lucius! I simplified the lighting on that leg to make the image read better, as the original shadows were more chaotic.
