MillionDollarExtreme got their show "World Peace" cancelled on Adult Swim recently. Huffingtonpost and The Young Turks are somehow headlining "Alt-Right show cancelled", and provided video evidence that isn't even related to MDE's "World Peace". MDE is anything but alt-right. They clearly don't take any positions in their offbeat post-irony comedy / social commentary sketches.
Here's the video that TYT / Huffingtonpost cited, which is MDE's video a few years ago. It's definitely taken out of context.. especially if you're not into their artform. And that's how plenty of news media outlets thrive, sensationalising stuff that are taken out of context, whether if deliberate or not. The same goes for both "mainstream" and "alternative" media platforms.
In my opinion, MDE are master performers (and also great musicians / sound engineers). Liquid payout will be used to support their work, and also serving as budget for outreach.
Only proceed if you can handle anything (although nothing visually NSFW, just language).

Perhaps, but for journalists to copy and paste words without much research about the subject matter (and just following the contents of other media outlets).. nowadays "news" are too disposable, and rushed out through the door.
Wauw, I'm super confused by this whole show, (Superacid!) the Young Turks feedback (sounding like some concerned, frustrated parents guild) and this darn spam bot in the comments (first downvote ever).
However I think its very thought provoking content. ( @kevinwong posting this debate) Not sure how this will affect my life yet, but that's the same I have when I read complex philosophical essays, in the end they always alter my perception on life (may that be 2 yrs later)

alt-right is a loose knit group of groups of people forgotten by the two party system. Chump is basically a democrat. And Hitlery is even further left; probably communist. So, the alt-right is a group of people that are still thinking like old republicans, who now have no voice.
They see their country going down the toilet, and are starting to put their foot down. They are a group of people T.P.T.shouldn'tB. really fear. They are the middle class people that actually start revolutions.
Thus, the mainstream mockingbird media, and all of its cronies are doing everything to tar and feather the alt-right.
I see, kinda makes sense if they're just using airtime to "make an example". I just find it distasteful to label entertainers under political labels. And to serve what end?
I lately had the impression that TYTs, at least Cenk Uygur is a bit short sided when it comes to reality so this is no surprise.

I get the feeling "Left-wing and Right-wing" are pretty outdated terms. Nowadays I sympathise with certain right-wing ideology (please don't ask me specifics!) while I come from a (extreme) left wing camp. It's not that black and white any more.

oh its not political discussion, isnt alt right movement a social movement? it's not a party (yet, probably)
But I never said that I was an alt-right follower... As a matter of fact, through this post I got introduced to alt-right as a concept.
My point is that I question the strong dividing of left and right in modern society. That's really all I tried to say.

Isn't it the same guy from the alien video? Some people just don't get comedy. Also I have now subscribed to their channel! I think some people have no understanding of satire or parody.
