A gift for @Veryspider - "Raptor Love"

Hello everyone!

I came back with a new illustration, this time i did a Velociraptor. This is a request made by a nice friend. @veryspider

This is the name she chose for the title

Who is Veryspider?

Steemet has given me the opportunity to meet many people, many artists and quality people.

One of those people is @veryspider, maybe many artists from the community know her, some others do not. In the same way i will talk a little about she.

Verypider is an artist, lover of art. She supports the artists of the platform, for me, one of the greatest art curators in all of Steemit, she has an enormous sense of appreciation, i know that many artists who read me agree with my words.

I currently have the pleasure of working with her on the curation project called @ c-squared, she is also my classmate at The Incubator, where we prepare to become curators at @curie, she does a great job, she also manages the @SteemArtists team, giving a lot of support to many artists on the platform ... what else can I say? she is very cool!

A few days ago i made a drawing of a Dinosaur, she loves it and i offered to give her one of her favorites, she asked for a Raptor and as i keep my promises here i bring it. (Sorry the late Spidey, but was busy).

The tools:

• Mechanical pencil.
• HB leads.
• Charcoal pencil.
• Brush
• Diffuser
• Moldable Eraser
• A4 Opaline 300G.

The Process:

• I started by illustrating his face, mainly the eye and highlighting with the charcoal pencil the darkest areas.

• Then I began to make the scales, i can not detail them well because the details are very small but i gave them a little volume with the mechanical pencil, using HB leads, this highlights the texture of the raptor's skin.

• Finished the face, i went to the neck, here we see that the light comes from above, the face of the raptor is looking to the right so it generates a very dark shadow that is distributed by the scales to touch the light, so i focus the shadows with the charcoal pencil and with the HB i made the most tenuous.

• Then i focus on making the shadows on the underside of the raptor, in this area does not carry light so it will be a black spot. With the brush and diffuser´s help i made the great shadow.

• Then detail the claws, they are a little down so they hit the darkness however the higher reaches a little light.

• After some days of work, patience and dedication i finished the gift for Spidey! :)

I really like doing this type of work, i think I'm very interested in drawings with textures, i enjoy them a lot, even if it's a bit tedious is what i liked the most!
