Let's Get Loco With Lego Sculptures; Entry #3--Fox & Rabbit

in #art8 years ago

This was a rather interesting sculpture of a red fox stalking a cottontail rabbit. This was tucked around a corner and hidden by tall grass, which helped bring it to life, so to speak. Sadly the grass in front was so tall that when I tried to incorporate it into the picture, the rabbit was not visible.

It's a little difficult to see in this front facing image, but I tired to capture how the right front forefoot and paw of the fox are suspended in mid-stride...it was the little details like this that made these sculptures true works of art. I had originally set out on this day to check out an old military exhibit in a nearby spot in the road somewhere in the country, and after 5 minutes of viewing everything that had to offer, I was headed back home discouraged, until I saw the sign advertising this exhibit. I spent at least 2 hours walking through the gardens...taking in the peace and quiet, and a few bad ass Lego block sculptures.

Whenever possible I like to include the accompanying information from the adjoining plaque on the Lego project on display...if for no other reason than to catalog the amount of Lego blocks each sculpture required to complete.

The 1st Entry, 2nd Entry in this series can be viewed at the links provided.
