Texting for Dummies | A Visual Guide
Tonight's post is a little different than most of what I've been sharing on here. But I recently rediscovered this little comic I made quite a few years ago, and wanted to share it with you all on Steemit!
The inspiration behind this came from the sudden boom of smartphones, and my observations of people using them in busy areas like cities and airports. My favorite, #5 - The Poke and Jab is the direct result of watching my uncles and grandparents trying to use their newly acquired smartphones. To get a clearer picture of this, imagine that person in your life with bifocals who tries to read the newspaper at arms length because it's the only distance he or she can truly achieve focus. Now imagine them operating a smartphone -- holding the phone at arm's length, and awkwardly poking at the on screen keyboard in an attempt to write out a text message.
