Hi guys,

came across this interesting contest last week organised by @coloringiship and decided to try out my luck :) It turned out that I really enjoyed working on this small doodle work.

Drawing just flowers is not my cup of tea. So I started thinking how to connect subject I love to do and given theme.
And I remembered Vesna, Slavic goddess of spring.

Slavic saw Vesna as pretty, smiling young girl decorated with flowers . Her hair was full with flowers, and as announcer of nice and warmer weather she was goddess Slavic loved the most.
Even now days here in Serbia Vesna is very common name given to girls.

After inking I decided to give Vesna some colors. Here is finished work where I used different kind of markers.

Congratz, your post has been resteemed and, who knows, will maybe appear in the next edition of the #dailyspotlights (Click on my face if you want to know more about me...)

very beautiful pictures, success always for your friend's work

This looks amazing @jungwatercolor. Love how all the details blend so well together and Vesna looks so demure and alluring at the same time. I participated in the contest too. Good luck to you. I just started to pick up art again and I realised I love watercolour painting. Will give you a follow!

Thank you @redtomato, good luck to you too with contest :) Thank you for leaving comment.

you are an excellent artist, my sincere congratulations for such a wonderful work.

I never heard of Vesna so I learned something new today. Thank you for participating @jungwatercolor.

Thank you for making interesting contest @coloringiship :) I love stories about pagan Slavic gods and Vesna is one of them :)

Hei! You are one of the lucky winner for the contest. Congrate @jungwatercolor. You drawing is nice ;)

Graphics in the Art Nouveau style. In the style of Alfons Mucha. Are you familiar with his work? I was at his museum in Prague.

Yes I am, and also visited Prague museum. Had luck to visit Veletrzni palac where his Slav epic was exhibited. Love Mucha @marymik23 :)

I was not in the "Veletrzni palac". Looked now, remember this place for the future. And what other artists do you like?

It;s great gallery @marymik23, you should visit it but unfortunately Czech government agreed to send that large canvases to Japan on exhibition..There was lot of dust getting up about it, since canvases are fragile, since he was working with tempera and oil..And they can be again damaged with transport..There was even petition signing against that sign it myself . But despite all of that, they send it anyway. So, you will have to wait to come back to Prague.
As regards other artists I love..it's huge list :)
When I was younger Michelangelo, Velasquez, Impressionists - specially Toulouse Lotrek ...
Now days..Henry Moore, Andrew Wyeth, Zeljko Tonsic..And many more..

What about you? :)

As in music, in art I have different preferences. I like the works in which the artist has invested a lot of work. And as artists who in one movement, the line of the pen, created amazing works, such as Picasso.

@jungwatercolor, do you know russian artists? For example Levitan? I really love Vrubel...

No, unfortunately, but now I will look for their work. I stayed at old schooll Илья Ефимович Репин

I see now why you like Mikhail Aleksandrovich Vrubel, great artist. I saw some of his works before but not remembered his name..

Yes, these are amazing masters. Many works of Vrubel are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, I was there.
I also like Nicholas Roerich very much, recently I visited his exhibition in the city of Yaroslavl.

Beautiful Dunja. Love the way the tree sweeps over her crown and becomes Vesna's hair. Such a tender face but strongly rendered image. 🦋
