Beautiful Agony of Surrender, entry for @holoz0r's Lauralemons tribute award /// Round 3
The title of this piece is "Beautiful Agony", some may know this as a porn site (it is) where only the users face is filmed. The title comes from the concept that during the moment of orgasm the face can take on quite a pained yet beautiful expression.
When @holoz0r announced the third round theme for his contest as surrender, the first thing I thought of is intimacy and vulnerability. Orgasm is one moment when people truly surrender and forget about life's little worries and express themselves freely. For the art I briefly considered using a female reference because I'm sure we all know how much female sexuality is featured in pop culture. I decided against and instead depicted a man in a moment of surrender, eyes rolled back in his head, cheeks flushed...

Love the colours you've used here - the white and reds are similar tones that I would use for the theme of surrender. For this final round, I've been playing with the idea of creating a piece as well, its at a concept phase; and refuses to budge.
