Here we can see Naraya's wrath as she catch Birdmaster reading an Elf Feast issue (my spin-off with pink elves).

Naraya is always angry and she do Kung Fu!
She's an elf obsessed with fighting and powerful martial art techniques, that's why Troy Destroy chose her to teach and train Birdmaster. So these two have a master/disciple relation but most of the time Birdy is just getting punched...
Also Naraya is Random's sister and Random is the blond bounty hunter elf who train Hammerjack 😛

Birdmaster the experimental demon!
Birmaster is an artificial being created by Troy Destroy with a mix of demonic essences but he's just a sociopathic teen! He like chaos, violence, lies and tagging along with Hammerjack as the two most infamous Suncity's delinquents...
The only reason Birdmaster endure Naraya's training is for him to keep up with Hammerjack fighting progress and because he's a kind of pervert!

Naraya and Birdmaster are the center of the Team Destroy and are respectively rival with Random and Hammerjack of the Team Quade
(I'm french so I put "the" everywhere I can, deal with it)

Characters design and influences

The dynamic between Naraya and Random was born in my mind the first time I saw Beatrix Kiddo vs Vernita Green. Naraya is like Beatrix with her anger and martial arts. Random, like Vernita, she's trying to raise Jasonetta and Hammerjack as a normal family despite being a bounty hunter and ex-mercenary....

As Naraya occupy her time with punching rocks, she waer rags of kimono and her hairs are shaggy. Her reds gloves come from a Jin Kazama reference (and not Tifa even if she look like her in the end)

I wanted referenced Birdmaster's origin in his design so is vestment is red and flame to remember hell. He's got two small horn 👹 and a black cape to symbolise the night.
His gray/blue skin come from Mu's Blue Men DNA, that Troy Destroy also used when creating him (Spoiler *when I put Spoiler that means the protagonists doesn't know this fact in the beginning of the tales) and is bird theme is an heritage of Kimen Patec's DNA (Spoiler again).

As I want him to be evil (I like evil characters) I gave him an angular face with narrow eyes and practically no nose. Over all, Birdmaster's face and large vicious smile was directly influence by the design of lelouch vi britannia and his sick expression at the end of the first Code Geass episode dakara!

Process

My steps (currently):

1. I draw a quick sketch and some poses
   
2. linework on paper
   
3. correcting the lines with Paint tool Sai
   
4. add flats colors, gradients and shadows the way I feel it
   
5. put tons of lights and Overlays and adust the colors on Photoshop
