Jdraw: Psycho-Kuro!

Just like last week, here's a piece from a serie unrelated to the Suncity Tales, that I work on from time to time.

This serie is called the "Vulcan swimming team", so I can draw some topless Vulcans... 😅🤣🤣!

He's the fourth member of the team I drew but the first one to be actually watchable and anatomically almost correct 😲🐱

I've finished him today and I'm quiet happy about it!
(I've also made a naked version but I'm only posting it on my Pixiv account)

Drawing process

First the sketch on paper:

Then I redraw the lines on a tablet, make due corrections on anatomy and block flat colors. On the towel, I've overlay a cloth texture. As for the background, just randomness until it feel alright.

A trick I always use is to duplicate and blur the line work. It make it smoother to the eye and add deep. Here I've put the first and second shadow layer on the skin. For the shadows, I've decided to go for hard edges because I think it fits more a male character, and because it's quicker!

The light make all the difference, I started with just some white specks but the body feel weird, so instead I've splash largest zones of light on top planes and then it became alive 🧟!

In the post processing phase, I've try many image correction filters only to keep a black overlay gradiant and my favorite, the "color balance one"!

Next week, I'll probably post some MechaBeastBoy stuff, and the weeks after my Cybergrils for July and August (so late!).

For Suncity Tales, I'm thinking about rebooting it under an other artist name. I have now enough material and skills to work on a full fledged comic and that's my project for the next 3 years.

So I'm currently planning to keep JTRX99 name for my fanarts, randoms drawing and NSFW works, and create a more professionnal and "family frendly" space dedicated to the Suncity Tales project!
