Artist Paints Beautiful Paintings When He's Asleep. When He's Awake He's Got Nothin.
What in the world?
This is really bizarre. An artist in the U.K. (of course) can only paint when he's sound asleep. When he's awake he has NO artistic ability! lol.
It's like sleep-walking except doctors call his condition sleep-painting, and apparently there's no cure and he doesn't want one because it's how he makes his living now.
His paintings sell for thousands of dollars and are in art shows all over the world. I don't know if that's because of the quality of his art or because of how he paints them.
No one understands it but he's used to it
Many of his paintings he feels no connection to because he didn't have a conscious reason or desire to create them! But it doesn't bother him, he started drawing like this when he was 4 years old so he's used to it.
When he was 15 yrs old he woke up one day and had drawn 3 small images of Marilyn Monroe and they were good. His parents were stunned. Here's one of them:
This was with no training. Just his subconscious mind working on it's own.
He's not artistic at all when he's awake so he's never painted or drawn anything when he was awake. lol. I guess he's not going to be teaching any art classes any time soon.

He's writing a book about his life and hopes that Netflix will pick it up and make a movie about him. It'll probably happen because his story is so unusual.

The mind is an amazing thing isn't it? The cat's name is Lee Hadwin. He admits he has no artistic talent. When he's awake. Unreal.

Hi janton, what if this man had a previous life as an artist and is painting when he is in the Astral at night with the help of famous artists who are on the other side. I wonder if he has had a 'medium' or 2 read for him?
Howdy angiemitchell! That's a good question. The article I read said that he has been to the best sleep research clinics but they didn't mention anything else, maybe his book will.
The first case is curious. The sculptures, they were even installed to great effect. I love the wall rhino.

Howdy sir ironshield! Isn't that astounding? It's one of the most interesting things I've heard and of course he's been studied by all kinds of sleep experts and clinics and no one understands it or can explain it!

What a strange condition, but so awesome! Can you imagine doing all of your daily work while you're asleep, leaving you the waking day to relax??
lol! yeah, you could brag that you do your work effortlessly! Great concept. Hey maybe someday they'll find out how to trigger that in people.
What a bizarre condition! I wonder if he completes a painting every night, or if he wakes up and works on it again the next night. How strange.

He paints about two nights a week, pretty consistently. Alcohol helps him to paint at night! lol. If he drinks alot then he's pretty likely to paint that night.
A very odd 'condition'! I'd love to see the movie.
I hope the movie gets made by Netflix, I'm sure there's alot more to his story. Probably mind-bending stuff.

I know! It's one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. Especially if it was some fantastic artwork! Done effortlessly because you weren't awake!

Exactly, now if they can just figure out how the rest of us can release our subconcious minds to be creative. I think we have the capacity to solve problems that no one has been able to solve thus far. Like how to motivate sir Vincent! lol.
