Dark Night of the Soul

When reflections come, sympathy for the world tends to turn into contempt. Thus, seeing things with less veil, reality changes and perception seems cruel, determined to horrify you in such a way that only Consciousness prevents you from hate. The feeling is calibrated in stupefaction, fright and loneliness. Living in this polarity it’s as beautiful as it’s dangerous, not in vain the poets call it the "Dark Night of the Soul".

To some extent, the cause of this process results from cutting with illusion, producing an understanding that starts from both fear and pain and, therefore, not derived from Love. In this sense, any understanding that does not derive from Love doesn’t real. It is not real, not because it is born of an illusion as in the previous stage, but because it is partial. During the darkest night for the soul it is impossible to understand this society, or each person, because negative feelings are overvalued and suffer, as well as ethical disenchantments.

In this transit, loneliness can become the worst feeling that governs a person and more if it does not know how to appreciate it. Badly experienced solitude is nothing more than the terror of emptiness: the terror of one's own experimentation, the frontal gaze with the habit of delirious dissatisfactions; it is the terror that manifests itself in us in any way and that is responsible for selfishness, individualism, greed and hatred.

During the "Darkest Night of the Soul” we die of the things that appear fullness, one lives in anguish and in pain; you learn to live without fear, you experience the courage of a loner who is capable of enduring, with his own Light, emptiness, nothingness, while gradually revealing that Love underlies.
