Night cats - Pointillism

in #art6 years ago

Cats are part of my favorite animals, and although they say they are pets for me they are not, they are indomitable. This time I wanted to capture those common leaks of cats when they are looking to reproduce, so I bring a drawing made with pointillism where a couple of cats is watching the moon.

Materials

-Cardboard sheet.
-Paints: blue, white, green jungle, green apple and green aquamarine.
-Allen wrenches.
-Brush.

Process

I have a lot of cardboard in my house so I use it to paint, I took this little sheet and I painted it using the brush and the blue paint applying two layers of paint to get a good covering.

My father works as a refrigeration technician, and I usually check his tools because they seem very curious to me. One day I found several sets of Allen keys and it occurred to me that I could do better pointillism using these tools to mark the points. My father gladly gave them to me and here I show you my new work implement:

I started filling in the silhouette of the moon, so I decided to paint the points around the silhouette of the cats, I used the 8 mm Allen key to mark the larger points. I painted the small dots using the 1 mm Allen key.

I continued marking the dots using different Allen keys, I wanted to finish the silhouette of the moon to begin with that of the cats.

I finished the full moon that would give light to this drawing. With luck it was quite bright and whitish.

With the three shades of green I made a degradation of colors using pointillism as a base, I started in an ascending way, first I painted the silhouette of a cat starting with jungle green spots, then apple green and finally the aquamarine green.

Final result

I repeated the process in the silhouette of the other cat using the same tones in the same order. I did this work in 6 hours of work because I had to highlight each point twice to get the result I wanted.

I have noticed that my work in pointillism has been well received by the Steemit community, so I will be giving my best every week to bring them things that they may like.

Thank you!
