My new artwork in colored pencils - "Message in a bottle - remember"
Hi guys! Today I'd love to share with you my new artwork, made on mix media paper with color pencils (with small addition of liner and white gel pen). It's been a while since I posted such art for the last time, and also a while since I worked in this technique I love so much.
A few words about how I do it. First of all, as I already said, I use mix media paper, cotton based. It's dark toned, so technically I already have a background. It's really useful for colored pencils, cause you immediately get the blending effect, and don't have to waste a lot of medium and effort for just not to leave your background white.
Second - I pay a lot attention to light and shading in such technique, use white gel pen for highlights. I need to make the object stand out this way.

apparently he received 10k Steem Power from some unknown benefactor 1 month ago (via Poloniex). I really wish that I had access to a full node of Steem and could find out the memo code used for that transaction and trace it to a real person / other accounts ... ugh.
Yep, I also noticed that he has quite a lot of power. Btw, poloniex doesn't work with steem at the moment - any idea why? I thought may be you know
I could only guess. I assume it has to do with them not updating their platform to work with the latest HF 0.19.1 release. I'm always skeptical about using crypto exchanges. But there's only so many places we can go if we want to "cash in" on our earnings here.

I love how you worked on the dark background! What brand of colored pencils do you use that have such great coverage?
That's a whole story in fact:)I can't tell you, cause I don't know any Chinese. I ordered myself a Faber Castle set on e-bay, but received some Chinese set instead. And it's not Faber Castle, but it's brilliant:)
They probably cover better because they are watercolor pencils. I have 3 different sets but I haven't tried them on a dark background.

Beautiful art again. I especially love how you've made the bottle seem so real and transparent. I also love how you came about these Chinese watercolour pencils, just brilliant. Makes a nice change getting the wrong thing you ordered and to still be happy with what you received. :)

Usually I don't do like that, I just multiple pencils in both hands, ha-ha:) But to take pics for blog I have to hold a camera as well:)
