PLEASE For Those Who Still Doubt The Mandela Effect BLATANT EVIDENCE HERE

in #art8 years ago (edited)

Look, I'm sure some of you guys know the statue "The Thinker" by Rodin, right? If not, you should--it's one of the most famous statues in the world. It's the one where the guy's sitting down with his forehead on his fist right?

wrong!

At least, NOW it is. THIS is what it looks like now:

Ok, so you might be thinking, whatever, just another psychological memory issue yada yada yada. But...

Here's a replica of it (check the description)

Here's a painting of it:

HERE'S A PICTURE OF GEORGE BERNARD SHAW POSING FOR IT:

AND HERE IS THE ARTIST HIMSELF DESCRIBING IT: (source: National Gallery of Art)(http://www.nga.gov/content/ngaweb/Collection/art-object-page.1005.html)

"As Rodin himself described: 'What makes my Thinker think is that he thinks not only with his brain, with his knitted brow, his distended nostrils and compressed lips, but with every muscle of his arms, back, and legs, with his clenched fist and gripping toes.'"

CLENCHED FIST!!!!!!!!

LOOK AGAIN:

NO CLENCHED FIST!!

okay i'm done

Sort:

Nicely done! The Thinker is an icon. I love your additional finding of the artist's very own description of it. I want to see more effects done like this. I wish the people that made these things would come forward, but Shanen however you spell her name now was Shannon and others with name changes never knew their names changed. How bizzarre. I just can't get enough of the Effect

jeezus finally someone who gets it. most people miss the point entirely. but yea, it's hard to know what's really going on. the only explanations that come close to covering all the aspects of the phenomenon are the really far out ones (e.g. timelines merging, simulation theory, etc.). i look around for more examples/clues every now and then, so i'll post them if i find anything noteworthy.

Never heard about the Mandela effect before! Thanks for the article. Now I know!

You get my vote.... mainly because I need to go google the Mandela effect ... being South African I thought it referred to our late President.

that's how it originated...lots of poeple had a very specific memory that mandela died in prison. it's not strange to have a faulty memory, but it's strange to have thousands of people have the SAME SPECIFIC wrong memory. but recently there've been more and more of these phenomenon being observed. look for the ones that have "residuals", e.g. wrong information still left, like the descriptions in the examples above. have fun down the rabbit hole :)

Thanks for that..... sort of like many people are adamant that Cat Stevens did the song "Cat in the Cradle" .. just because Harry Chapin sounded similar to him, the style was the same and of course the word Cat in the title probably causes some sort of causal connection. I make money off that bet every time {grin}

When I watches Demolition Man as a teenager the Restaurant was Taco Bell. And now it is pizza hut. All the links are in this article. Showing the Mandela Effect...

Lol.... thought I found a good one

Sorry bro. Keep up the good work!

My favourite is tank guy in tianamen square.
