Putting Our Works On The Street | Night II
A week after the first night, we had the second night at the same location. After we posted the photos of the first night online, we found some buyers for the works so we had to display another set of works.
There are eco-friendly products as well. Mesh bags, reusable menstrual pads, metal and bamboo straws, bamboo toothbrushes, wooden spoon and fork set, and menstrual cups. They are being sold at a very low price compared to other ones I see online.
Menstrual cups! I bought one. I'm gonna write a review in the next few days as my period is already done.
I love this! Personally, I felt that local artists don't have the support that they deserve. It's a good initiative to spur discussion as well as awareness.
Keep it up! It's a good thing you belong to a group of like-minded individuals.
Thank you! Yeah, we are slowly getting more support now tho which is good. :D Yeah, so nice to have a group now.
Wow! That's really good! Now I miss the folks from #oldsteem. Although I have online interaction here, having a weekly or monthly meet up is still different. I felt I'm alone here in Cebu.
Yahh, not much activity there yeah?
Zero. Which is sadt. 😂
I hope the eye study was commissioned, because from here, it's caught my attention. At the same time, I suppose it would also be an equally pleasant gift, so at any rate, the recipient should feel themselves quite lucky. Your drive to get work out in the open along with your friends is commendable. I think I was so focused on earning for a long time, I forgot how important it is to distribute your work, via physical form, not simply share it. Cheering you on!
No, it wasn't. It was my eye. :D Both are studies, but original. The one I'm going to give as a gift is that flower beside the eye. Figured the recipient would love it more than an emotional eye. The eye is still in the gallery, one collector thought of buying it but when she saw this she bought this instead. I think I'll keep it on my table if nobody decides to buy it. :D
Yes!! I kinda forgot it last year too. Lol. I never even thought of selling some prints. Are you planning to do this for your works? Cheering you on as well! :D
