You have an interesting way of trying to get people to check your blog. However, I personally do not appreciate your self-promotion in the comment section without showing any signs of having actually read my post. No comment on the content, no thoughts on the image, just your plea to come visit your blog... that won't work.
Establish a connection through common interest, ask for feedback, trigger me any other way but through unsollicited advertising and I am your man..

How much insight can one give back to a simplistic picture of a stone and water lilly exactly? if you had some content to read, i might have been able to give some back, i suggest checking my blog and seeing my comments and replies, wheres theres something to give insight back to, i do, if there isnt, i leave a simple message explaining what my page is about, how about trying to be happy your picture got a upvote instead of complaining? anyhow, best of luck to you too, ttyl
I thank you for your upvote @ewasteguy1. After checking the link to "On The Theme" or following the string of posts with the same title "All In One Stone" in my post you could have discovered a very interesting series of photographs accompanied by correlating thoughts, poems, hypotheses, et cetera. Something to ponder and talk about. Or not, that depends on your interests, which is fine by me. But you didn't (which is also fine by me).
Instead you suggested I check out your blog and follow and upvote you because you did that for me... I call that upvote / follow-for-follow begging which is a 'don't' on Steemit. Is all I was saying.
However creative your way of getting people to check out your blog and upvote your posts, to me it comes across as unsollicited advertising (spam).
But we're all learning to walk while running here; we are all in beta. Your comment made me realise I should maybe improve the way I provide background information in my posts. I do not want to copy-paste the same text over and over, you know. Anyway, something to think about, thank you for that too.
I hope you take what you call my 'complaint' as a sign that maybe your 'suggestion' comment isn't meeting its goal. Just changing the verb 'suggest' into 'hope' or 'I'd appreciate' would already drastically change how people interpret your comment.
