I'm so sorry that you, or anyone, has gone through anything like this. The only way out of this is through it -- talking about it in the open. Those of us who have never experienced this sort of thing need to respect what people like you tell us. I'm glad that you have good family around you now.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply, my therapist said she doesn't know many who made it through something like this alone as a kid.....I wasn't alone, I had nature, my animal friends, books and art....when I did recovery work in survivor groups I found many kids grown to adulthood that went through abuse and never told anyone until they were adults.
We also have gone through this type of abuse with our government, a fresh example, look what happened to Bernie Sanders people who gave their hearts to Sanders only to have their hearts stolen by the Democratic Party and then on top of all that trauma, have to vote for a criminal like Killary....it's a mad--mad world.
We all need to speak out and shine a light on all this craziness so we can see it's just a bunch of losers with no power of their own.
Nature is a comfort to so many people. Thank goodness it's all around us.
