🎨 Testing new acrylic markers

in #art7 years ago

Trying some new pigmented ink markers for the lights. It's much faster to draw these details than to paint them.

Honestly i couldn't guess about markers in this work , your'e the best! :)

Here I just use the markers for the white openings in the towers. The benefit of these is their opacity, especially of the white one.

Great! I think i can use it also ,for white dots on black surface , i used to work with white acrylic , but rarely .

Nice work! Also your Photos are really beautiful!!!:-)

Thanks Caroline!

Really cool artwork ;D
I was there though.. The sky trees in Singapore!

Thanks! Yes, the supertrees in Singapore are amazing!

good stuff! I mean these markers can be great. It's like when i found out there is a pen with a acrylic in it, for tiny paintings!
:-)

Yes, they are very useful!

damn! and i thought you just painted NOTHING on the white parts :-)

I thought the same ! ..

It's much easier this way!

Great workmanship. I w as just checking out your website. My only criticism is the websites itself looks dated. You may want to consider how your work is being presented on the site.

Thanks! I used to have 500-600 visitors a day in my website before facebook became big. Today most of my audience is following me on social media so I don't care much about the website anymore.

I think the website looks and works fine. There are those that build flashy sites that overpower the artwork. I tried all kinds of templates myself, and whatever I tried, I always went back to the simple one I have.

Adding those details must be a task and a half- isn't it nice when we find tools that make it go faster and easier!

Yes, good tools make things much easier so you can concentrate more on the creative aspects of your work.

Work smarter not harder, right? This looks like a great solution to make something easier, and the white really pops. These progress posts are interesting, I like seeing some behind the scenes tricks of the trade.
Oh yeah, and every time I see one of your pieces I just can't get over how much I like the color palates you use; it just works so well.

Thank you!

I've been looking for that kind - I can see the brand in the close-up, but where do you get them from? Boesner? I tried all kinds (that didn't work).

Yes, Boesner. Just bought black, grey and white. I don't thing the lightfastness of the other colors is very reliable.

OK thanks - I mainly am looking for white. Don't need colors. There are also fillable brush-pens which you can fill with acrylic ink (I use Golden Liquid), but they are a pain in the ass to load up.
