School of Athens Reloaded (handcut collage 70/50cm)
School of Athens Reloaded is a handcut collage i created in 2014 for Collagistas Festival in Berlin. It was a group exhibition with artists from many countries presenting their diverse styles of collage. I decided to create an artwork inspired by the sad and violent first years of the economic crisis in Greece. I chose an iconic photograph of police brutality, a common sight those days, and combined it with the famous fresco School of Athens by Rafael.
