"Planet X"

Speculation of giant worlds beyond Neptune have been going on for a very long time, going as far back as being an origin for Babylonian mythology, and also part of doomsday prophecies that started with Zechariah Sitchin. The mysterious planet that might be lurking on the edge of our solar system could very well be true... There are many scientists trying to observe and collect evidence pointing to the existence of "Planet X".

Astronomers can now look deeper into the sky using advanced telescopes to try and see the planet if it is there... This hypothetical Neptune-sized planet orbits the sun in an elongated orbit far beyond Pluto. It is believed Planet X could have a mass about 10 times that of Earth. It is also believed to take between 10,000 and 20,000 Earth years to make one full orbit around the sun. This is why we have no real evidence of its existence.

Recently, astronomers studying the Kuiper Belt noticed some of the dwarf planets and other small, icy objects tended to follow orbits that clustered together. By analyzing these orbits scientists predicted the possibility that a large, previously undiscovered planet may be hiding far beyond Pluto. Leaving room for the possibility of Planet X to actually be out there somewhere... Doubtful it is going to be crashing into the earth anytime soon though ;)

I created these images using GIMP. GIMP is a free and open-source graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks. I made this combining a photo I took this summer and also utilized paint tools etc in GIMP. I added mountains and trees than added a massive over looking planet with rings. I enjoy creating fantasy worlds :D

Wow @gavinthegreat ! Love how you added in that ghost like planet to your awesome photo of Kelowna ! It would be so cool if and when they find a Planet X out there somewhere ! Great story , thanks for sharing ! Upped and resteemed !👍😀🌌🌌🌌
