SHY [Inktober Day 7]
I struggled with shyness for a long time in my youth. I don't think I really branched out into being a sorta confident little guy until I was around the age of 22. For this image I wanted to try and express that shyness in a way that wasn't something that would be insurmountable. With time we all blossom into who we are and there are a whole bunch of beautiful buds out there just slowly coming into their own.

Mr Jake Parker started the trend a few years ago and it's a great way to challenge yourself to pick up the pen everyday and to try and create good art habits. I encourage anyone who wants to participate to join in :)
Here is the prompt list from svslearn.com.

Thank you for commenting, upvoting and taking the time to look. Love ya!
I still can't transform into a confident woman, and I'm more then 22. I really love how you fulfilled the idea of today inktober theme, I feel something personal for myself in it:)
It's super powerful that you've felt something through this painting. It means the world to me that we can share this emotion in a picture.
I'm sure you will find that confidence in yourself, shyness for me was able to be beaten by realizing that we are all the same. We may think that others couldn't possibly understand or relate to us but we are all human and share with that the experiences that come along with growing up. Pain, shyness, love, joy. We are all complex, broken, hopeful and vulnerable. Life is a beautiful thing.
I was shy as well and with time I somehow learned to deal with it and have overcame that shyness (not 100% but mostly).
I like the way that little flower looks. Is it a rose? It looks like a rose. It's sweet.
Keep it up :)
Thank you for the thoughtful comment @zneeke. I'm touched that this has resonated with both you and @Inber. I think artists can be introverts by their very nature so it takes more time for us than others to bloom into our own. I didn't gather reference for the flower so I guess it could be a rose. I like the idea of a budding flower as a good way to express shyness so I went for it. Thank you again for the kind words.
