My Giraffe
It's been awhile since my last drawing, I can't even remember what I've drawn last time. Time is flying and summer is the busiest time of the year for me. However, last week I had some time dedicated to creativity and today I'd like to show you my masterpiece 😀
My dear friend Barbara @barbara-orenya has been a great source of inspiration and motivation as well for me. I've always admired her creativity and exquisite art. She's one of the people who motivated me to start learning to draw. I guess if it wasn't her, I wouldn't be here today showing you my drawing. I owe her a lot, so dear Barbara, Thank You very much for inspiring and encouraging me to start drawing.
At the beginning I was concerned on participating in different contest running here on Steem blockchain which has a specific theme each week. Then I started using YouTube video tutorials to learn to draw faces. This was the most challenging I believe but I'm not disappointed at all. I did well in my humble opinion.
I've been planning to draw some funny animals but could not come up with one that I find easy to draw. Last week I thought why not try to draw a funny giraffe and I did.
This is my masterpiece, meet the happy giraffe 😀My first attempt at drawing a giraffe.
To my surprise it wasn't hard at all, had to be careful to respect the proportions but otherwise it went well. I don't know how good it is, that's your job to tell but I like it, I believe it looks like a giraffe and the most important thing is that as always, I had a lot of fun drawing it.
This was the first step towards a bigger project. I'm planning to do s series of animals. This is pencil 100% because it was just a quick practice but my plan is to do watercolor. That means I have to start learning working with watercolor but I have an excellent teacher who made sure I have all the tutorials I need. Barbara ♥️
Drawing this funny giraffe made me realize how much I miss drawing. I'm planning to draw more in the near future for sure.
So this is it for today, I'll be back soon with new works. Feel free to drop a comment, any constructive feedback is appreciated.
Oh my, I didn't know I inspired you at this point ! 😊
I know I have encouraged you and I like to appreciate work that is done and never be judgmental but on the contrary, to push people up and never give attention to what is not here yet, but focus on what is coming and want to explode, that is, your desire to draw and express yourself through this material...
I'm happy for you ! you did great by learning by yourself and commit in something you felt was dear to your heart...
this lovely giraffe is perfectly the junction point between now and what you are inside...and these two points will evolve at each moment, so your "job" is to make them match in your drawings for your own satisfaction ! BRAVO ! ^_^
Awww, such a lovely encouragement comment! Thank you so much for the nice words and the cute wonkie with the cupcake. I love it.
I'm going to continue my work and do the best I can to learn as much as I can. This is both fun and helpful.
Thank you again dear Barbara for your support and I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely art! 🤗
