How to Make "Van Gogh - the Starry Night" TUTORIAL (ENGLISH VERSION)

Hello Steemit community, on this day I bring to you another “pseudo-tutorial” how I like to call them, since it’s not really a tutorial as we see commonly. I know, I skip a lot of things or steps at the time of painting, but although you guys don’t believe it is just like that, everything happens very fast at the time of painting.

On this occasion I paint the famous play of Vincent Van Gogh, The Starry Night that goes into the style of post-impressionism.

Before start to work on it, I had to study and practice the picture for almost two years, since the truth I didn’t feel capable of doing it

FIRST STEP

Here we can see that I started with one of the extremes of the picture, exactly the moon area. And I was noticing that I wouldn’t finish the picture that day so I decided to paint by areas. The photo process above took at least an hour.

SECOND STEP

After two hours, this was the state of the picture, the superior part was ready, it should be notice that the picture is very large, approximately 90 X 60. Paint Van Gogh style takes time… and a lot of painting,

THIRD STEP

Here we can see that the most important thing of the picture is finished, what is being the swirl in the sky. All this process took me two hour, in fact, very fast in my opinion.

FOURTH STEP

Two more hours and the picture is almost finished, it only remains to apply the dark colors, some details and the famous Ciprés. I want to leave the dark colors for last in case that I made a mistake.

FIFTH STEP

The last step and I already knew that I had achieved it; I fulfilled one of my many desires that were to make that picture. I know is not the best replica of it, but I considered that it looks pretty decent.

And that’s it; we have our starry night ;)
