Lion Dark Charcoal Drawings Framed By EdgarsArt

in #art7 years ago

One thing that makes me very proud beside the fact when the work is finished itself is when i know that someone else liked the work so much that the person wants it. Wants to own the piece, and that the will be in a good hands. These two photos are each from a different person. I received each one of them not long after i sold both of those works.
The first one i sent to England, and the other one is a commissioned work, which i sent to Spain. My very first work which i sent there.
I must admit myself that both works have an amazing frames and the second drawing is about 4 times smaller than the first one.
Oh i still remember how i was drawing the first Lion. It was around a year ago already, and i ran out of dark charcoals pencils. I had only medium ones, but i wanted to draw the work so much that i in the end finished it with no dark charcoal pencils. In the end i was actually upset about the result and that the work looks bad. After about 100 hours of trying to draw and make the highlights bright enough with Medium charcoal pencils i actually was thinking of just leaving the work and not publishing it. In the end i decided that the work has something special, more than maybe it looks like from a practical point. And after about 3 days i sold this work, which was quite surprising, but a very very positive surprise!
