The action takes place on Earth 0 in Belle Reve. Christopher learns that Amanda Waller is torturing Red X III (0) in order to make him a member of the Suicide Squad. Chris says it's a bad idea, but Amanda, not caring about his opinion, hits him with a powerful discharge current.
After putting Smith in his place, Waller tells the guards to take him to an empty cell. Having knocked out the employees there, the Peacemaker gathers the rest of the team members in the laundry room. The main character suggests that they overthrow Amanda, and also says that Nocturna, on her orders, put Superboy into a trance and pulled all the information out of him.
Later, the Squad finds out that X arranged the escape of the prisoners. Christopher sends Natalia and Kent to deal with them, and he goes to Waller's office to protect her. When X gets to the office, Chris blocks his way. Red X tries to immobilize Smith, but nothing happens. It turns out that Amanda temporarily disabled the bomb in the Peacemaker's neck. The main character tries to deal with X, but he knocks him out. Upon waking up, Christopher learns that Red X blew up one of the rooms and escaped, along with most of the prisoners, including Rick Flag (0).
