Esta vez, inicio con mis prácticas de dibujo probando una nueva herramienta que hasta ahora me había parecido muy difícil de utilizar , el grafito, este material llevaba guardado un buen tiempo y nunca me había atrevido a usarlos realmente, solo los usaba cuando realizaba obras que contenían un fondo negro, aunque mi desconocimiento sobre esta herramienta me impedía emprender nuevas prácticas y experimentar con sus diversos usos, la noche del viernes 13 de julio, revisando mi libro de Pintemos los Animales, de la Colección Leonardo, decidí probar suerte con algunos dibujos que ahí se encontraban, uno era un Puma que se encontraba mirando de frente, el cual representaba un buen desafío ya que si no se cuidaban las sombras de alrededor del hocico, se corría el riesgo de dar la impresión de "Achatar" o aplanar la cara del animal lo cual le haría perder realismo, el otro, era un tigre que se encontraba rugiendo, una imagen bastante imponente donde se debía cuidar a detalle la posición del hocico don respecto al resto de la cara.

This time, I started with my drawing practices trying a new tool that until now had seemed very difficult to use, the graphite, this material had saved a good time and I had never dared to use them really, I only used them when I was doing works that contained a black background, although my ignorance about this tool prevented me from undertaking new practices and experimenting with its various uses, the night of Friday July 13, reviewing my book of Paint the Animals, from the Leonardo Collection, I decided to try my luck with some drawings that there they were, one was a Puma that was looking straight ahead, which represented a good challenge because if the shadows around the snout were not taken care of, there was a risk of giving the impression of "flattening" the face of the animal which would make him lose realism, the other, was a tiger that was roaring, a rather imposing image where he had to take care of detail to position of the muzzle don with respect to the rest of the face.

En la siguiente imagen podemos observar la comparación entre el modelo original del libro Pintemos los Animales, y al lado derecho, mi intento de replica en proceso, se pueden notar bastantes diferencias, errores que conforme pase el tiempo y vaya conociendo mas esta nueva herramienta, iré mejorando, la paciencia es una virtud.

Además de probar una nueva herramienta, intente trabajar sobre una nueva superficie, esta vez usé papel bond, una superficie mucho mas delgada que una cartulina opalina normal. Aunque no es de mis mejores obras, me siento orgulloso de el resultado, en especial porque es la primera vez que uso esta herramienta, espero que con el tiempo y la práctica, logre perfeccionar los detalles y corregir los errores que aun tengo.

In addition to trying a new tool, try to work on a new surface, this time I used bond paper, a much thinner surface than a normal opaline cardboard. Although it is not my best works, I am proud of the result, especially because it is the first time I use this tool, I hope that with time and practice, I will perfect the details and correct the mistakes I still have.
