"Picnic Table" (oil painting)
Painted on location in a public gardening center in Encino, California, where people can rent squared off areas to grow flowers and vegetables.
by Lee Gordon Seebach
Another large painting for working outdoors. Thankfully, it was a sunny, calm day so I didn't have to worry about this "sail" catching a gust of wind and blowing my French easel and all my supplies into someone's vegetable patch nearby.
I liked the lighting situation and had nice design possibilities right in front of me so, I went to work!
Have an amazing, productive day, my fellow Steemsters…. to da moon!!!

That is a BEAUTIFUL piece of work @chessmonster - I am not normally a fan of impressionistic style, but I really like this!!!
@jaynie Glad you like it!
I do indeed :)
Lovely painting as always. I'm curious, what is sitting in top of the picnic table? I thought it was a hose at first.
Your first impression was right...it is a hose. 😀 @vermillionfox
YES! 👏🏼
I love all the movement in this piece! It makes it really come to life!
Thank you @justaboutart
Lovely painting :) I like it :) I have never used oil as I love the ease of watercolour and charcoal... maybe I should get out of my comfort zone 😅I would appreciate it if check out my painting too
