Live Visionary Shamanic UV Art Painting at Festivals and its Healing Effects.

For the past several years I've been sharing my live Visionary Shamanic UV painting at many festivals across the UK, USA and in Peru. As well as many clubs across the east coast that cater to Burners, PsyTrance and EDM sonic backdrops. Live painting in such environments enhances the experience of these gatherings for many in attendance. Sometimes people want or need some sacred space to either chill or ground themselves from the chaotic energies that swirl around them. For many observing live painting is a way to experience art manifesting in motion right before their eyes.

Although live painters may not seem as important as djs or the musical acts performing at these gatherings. We are very crucial in helping inspire many to also share their creativity at these gatherings in whatever way they choose to express it. I can't begin to share how many deep and healing conversations I have had with over the years with those that resonate with my art flow. How many souls I have encouraged to connect to their source of creative happiness during these encounters. Years later I will bump into someone that shares with me how inspired they were by my art flow and conversation that they decided to also become a lot more creative and playful in their lives.

Many people admit to me that they wish they could paint or draw but have not been able to. My response to them is that we are ALL born with a form of creative energy and it is only a matter of practice and expressing the individual fractal self of infinite consciousness. I also mention during these conversations that I have not had any formal art education but have always enjoyed being a humble vessel for the source of creativity to flow through me. When I live paint within the container of such gatherings I am in a space of sacred meditation. Each brush stroke contains the vibes and conversations of my surroundings painted onto the camvas.

When people ask me to body paint them because they like my art, I am in humble service to help make them heal, put a smile on their faces and or perhaps bring out one facet of the multidimensional being. It is an honor to be a small part of the lineage of one of the most oldest forms of creative expression such as body art, echoing the distant past of tribal body art. I am in service to the source and to my fellow beings. It is never about competing with nor comparing myself with other artists. It is more about lifting the spirit of all those around me and reflecting that energy onto the canvas.

I have had many people over the years be so moved or resonate with my paintings that they actually weep because of their connection with the story being expressed in the imagery. I recall one night painting in Center Camp at Burning Man. I thought to myself that there is so much incredible cutting edge art on the Playa that not many will notice a live painter radically expressing themselves onto such an old school form of art such as canvas painting, Man was I surprised at the feedback I received during the 5 hours I painted. I had a small crowd of about 20 people sit around to watch me progress on the canvas for over an hour. I had some of the most incredible insightful conversations and soul hugs throughout the night from at least 100 people.

Art is a Powerful uniter of people from all backgrounds. Art comes from the He-Art that permeates the e-ART-hly experience that our souls have while we are here visiting. There is a growing international movement at many festivals of Visionary Artists that lift the veil of perceptions from their personal psychonautic journeys and translate them unto canvas, sculptures or projection mapping. The "lamestream" art world is slowly catching on such as the recent "No Spectators/ Art of Burning Man" exhibit at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

By bringing the process of Live Art to these gatherings we as artists make deeper connections with those that choose to experience the journey as well as those that encourage our evolution as creatives. It is a difficult struggle for many talented artists to financially survive in a "gig economy". Many festivals have a very limited or none existent budget to hire live painters as we are thought of as "hobbyists" that are happy to paint wherever and whenever although we have "real costs" to cover, such as travel expenses, materials, food/accommodations and the time we put into live painting under rather demanding conditions.

It is part of my mission here on earth to share with as many souls as possible the beauty and love of the live painting experience as it is very different than painting in solitude in our studio sanctuaries. Along the way that energy is returned to me via the appreciation, conversations and soul currency I receive in return. So I want to remind you, that next time you are at a festival or gathering and you come across a live painter take a moment to enjoy and honor the individual for sharing their gifts with your tribe. Perhaps offer an energy exchange and engage in a conversation with the artist about how the art is making you feel.
