Archmage Illonie | Original Painting

Hey guys :)

Today i'm back with a little portrait of my Blood Elf Character from World of Warcraft! I used to be a big no lifer in that game, and nerded out intensely on not only becoming as good as possible, but also on the rich lore of the Universe.

Although i never roleplayed in the game before, i always had some characters ready for it, including this Elf Mage called Illonie. I love the theme around the Blood Elves, and Mages are just awesome by default so it didn't take me long to decide on what i would want to roleplay.

I hope one day i'll have the time to try it out, but until then i'll prepare a nice story with Illustrations :') This is one of them i made for this purpose!

I also screenshot the process of making the picture, which was filled with quite some setbacks lol. But that's how once again i got to learn a lot :) Enjoy!!

...changed the face a bit here because the clean version of it didnt vibe with me, RIP!

...coloring time! laying out basic shadows and deciding on the skin color. Blood Elves are generally pretty tan because they get so much sun, and also have light hair mostly. Love that combo!

...really going for it here, i liked it at this point but something felt really off...so much so i couldn't help but repaint everything

...here i decided to completely ignore all the lineart and structuring i had done, and just paint the face again and see what happens! Letting it flow here :D

...and i was really happy with it, so i started to add more and more depth and detail! And of course some powerful Mage Armor that has been through many battles, but looks like new because...reasons!!

...refining everything here and adding some accessories, like the cute hairband the Elves sometimes wear :) Almost done!

...some sparkles, some shiny, some skin details and voila, my Character Portrait is done! Was so fun to paint, i will definitely do more!!
