Two Little Clowns in Jakarta, Streetphotography | Dua Badut Kecil (Bilingual)

They were two little big head-clowns who roamed in the street at nigth.

They were two little street clowns. Walking in the streets looking for a thousand or two thousand rupiahs with their little legs and giant clown heads.

They always came every afternoon in the yard of Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. They held a show among artists and IKJ students sitting in the courtyard. They created an open stage. The floor is their stage.

They danced as they did, especially moving their clown heads. A huge yellow head that looked heavy on their little head. However, they continued dancing with various songs from a small tape.

Big-headed little clowns danced untill midnight.

Badut-badut kecil

Mereka badut-badut jalanan kecil. Berkeliaran di jalan-jalan mencari seribu dua ribu perak dengan kaki-kaki kecil mereka dan kepala badut raksasa.

Mereka selalu datang saban Magrib di pelataran Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. Mereka menggelar pertunjukan di antara para seniman dan mahasiswa IKJ yang duduk-duduk di pelataran itu. Mereka menciptakan panggung terbuka. Pelataran itulah panggung mereka.

Mereka menari seadanya, terutama menggerak-gerakkan kepala badutnya. Sebuah kepala badut kuning besar yang tampak berat di kepala mereka yang kecil. Tapi, mereka terus menari diiringi berbagai jenis lagu dari sebuah tape kecil.

Badut-badut kecil berkepala besar terus menari sampai tengah malam.
