Digital artwork introduces many new tools for an artist for either a completed artwork or as preparation for material art. Just as with any new tool...these tools require practice in order to be able to be used with any skill.
The finished work above began with the photograph of the skye and the thought of flowers to come in the Spring but not yet here....hence no meaningful colour.

there's so many tulips in the stores already but I guess they're just from the greenhouses the ones outside are still budding

With regard to your queries.....no not a single bloom outside.....that is why this one is B&W...no meaningful colour. There are some at the shoppes...so very small....yet do manage to really open up very large......lovely
It is warmer....overcast with a bit of mist...a perfect day....let's have a cuppa. ^__^

Lovely, in fact the process photos reminded me very much of our dear friend @steemit-life. It looks like a horse lowering it's head to drink in the style he used to use a lot. I miss him around here.

Yes...please interpret art however you see it.....sometimes bleujay would really rather not title a work for fear of disrupting the thoughts of the viewer.....even the process should be presented separately as well as the artist's thought process....in bleujay's opinion.......as the enjoyment of art is personal/individual/unique.

You are so creative to be able to take a sky shot, edit it black and white and paint tulips over that. It gives it a soft chalky feel. I also like the spray of yellow as it reminds me of powdered pollen.
I love these three colors together and it makes a wonderful piece of art. Very fresh.
