Nightly Doodling #11
Hey Steemians!
Last night I finished making Nightly Doodle number 11. This doodle was inspired by my previous nightly doodle. I really liked the concept and therefore I wanted to expand on it. I feel like there is a lot more potential for this concept, so for the next doodling sessions I will be working around these visuals and explore them some more.
So what do we got here? To me it looks like the triangles and the oval shape are some sort of gateways, or as @enternamehere called them portals on my previous doodle, that lead this string of thoughts, life or whatever it represents to you, through different ''dimensions''. When it goes trough the triangle in the middle, the looks of this string change into a different shape and visual. We always assume that a doorway always leads to a new world, a new experience. But what if this change is always the same concept. That it's a same current, and that it's our perception which makes it look different to us, because of what we're used to and what we might expect. We always create reason to define life, such as these doorways, but its growth is infinite, so we really can't get a hold of it.
Anyway, that's just my mind wandering off, I hope you enjoy this piece! Tell me what youu see, or what it means to you. I'd like to here your thoughts.
I hope you enjoyed it, let me know if you did! Tune in with the Nightly Doodles and don't hesitate to give it an upvote or follow me @benja. I happily welcome every feedback I can get!
Follow your dreams,
The gateway concept is dope, I agree with you that there is a lot more to explore there. You could get into some really psychedelic shit with that!
Right! Imagine the color possibilities.
Glad you feel the concept! I really want to make something huge with this aswell, so incorporating some psychedelic madness would be dope indeed! Thank you for your inspiration!
AWESOME!
I thought it was good before...I love the stippling. Seeing yours makes me want to incorporate more dots into my work! It is super time consuming (as you have previously mentioned) but the end result is worth the effort.
If you don't mind sharing, what markers do you use?
Thank you! The end result is definitely worth the effort, and to me it eases the mind, almost in a therapeutic way. For these I use nothing more than a cheap an simple Stabilo fineliner. It does the trick :)
Yes, therapeutic I follow. I love to "zone out" while I'm drawing. Sometimes it's like I'm "gone" but I'm still here. Maybe that explanation is fuzzy, but maybe you catch my drift.
Ahh, Stabilo. I have only one of those, a light blue that came with some Hi-Liters as a bonus. I've yet to use it for drawing, though, only for writing. Thanks again!
''Sometimes it's like I'm "gone" but I'm still here'' - I know exactly wha you mean. I'm not a big fan of Stabilo though, but the fineliners are pretty useful.
Yeah, that blue Stabilo gets "bleedy" and feathers out too much. I like the Copic Multiliner, but their price does not like ME! =P
That's so cool! Weird and trippy, I love it :D
Thanks bruv!
