ORIGINAL ART /bodypainting, Korean paper, photography, video/ VICTORY
I called this work VICTORY, it was created as a symbol of success and healing for a friend fighting cancer. A group of friends created one bodypainting with one letter, together they were a message to her.
If you believe the power of inner visualization is strong, imagine how much stronger it gets when you bring the ideas, and positive thoughts to reality in shape, colors, and form. I believe the emotional state of the artists, the feelings, and thoughts are captured in the final result. As a transparent watermark, they may be invisible to many but are there. My work focuses on the light in life, or finding ways to bring the light in the dark, the invisible elements with positive qualities, those special moments we want to stop, or grasp, but are gone too fast.
The handmade paper used for the background was from the Paper Museum in Andong, South Korea.

The old and the modern Korean alphabet and styles of Hangul writing are for me personally the most beautiful language as visual qualities.
