This is usually the woman's fear towards the end (of an exhausting pregnancy as the unknown draws to an inevitable and painful close - well if you live in Europe it tends to be such if you're not keen on epidurals). But you already informed us you were neurotic. (Love how involved you are though!)

My interpretation (alongside the nighmarishly Siamese one) is that, unmanifest fully to you yet, you can only imagine the infant as it originally was (two halves). How can it come out as one new being!? It is outside your control: hence worrying.

This is your mind overruling a more holistic sentiment that is harder to arrive at from a distance (it requires surrender to the organic process - there is only so much you as father can ever do that).

More Cabalistically, you recognise the Adam Kadmon in your child intuitively but know your psyche will want to think in terms of genes, (whose flaws or talents to blame or praise: t would be easier to determine that if he kept them nicely split down the middle). All that falls away once he's his own person, but when he's a teen you may wish to extirpate yourself from certain uncomfortablely recognisable traits....

It is indeed a neurosis (we all suffer from!) to split any person "monstrously" into something they are not (a mental construct). Love cures all that.

Leaving all this in the past now, I hope your gorgeous son is enjoying his singular life!

Thank you so much @veryspider 😊

The things you do with octopus. To octopus? I don't know but I dig them.

Did you sell it? Or is it too personal?

It kind of disgust me but I actually like it. I think you expressed your feelings quite well. The ammount of details in this piece is amazing. My favorite parts are the tentacles. I'll absolutely check out the Garden of Umbilical Dreams. Thanks for sharing! 💜

Having such images in your head as a soon to be a father would seem like a real nightmare to me. I'd be way to scared to even think of drawing that out of fear to manifest something... like you did with the drawing of your wife.. Thank god it all went well :-)

Clicking the picture to see it big (in firefox) doesn't work, only "right-click, view image"

I see. More like getting those visions out of your head...
Your fascination is quite obvious when one looks at your work, although normally it doesn't appear as scary to me as in this piece.

I had this issue once and it only worked on my own computer.

I can't get this one to work with chrome either... not trying to be smart here, though. From what I know, in order for it to work on steemit, you have to link the image to itself like this (unless you haven't done so already and it really just my machine):

Works well, both in firefox and in chrome :-) Thanks for pointing me to your post... interesting!

A very intimate and personal work; brings to mind the potential results of genetic manipulation.Glad your son is healthy and just a little neurotic like the rest of us humans.

Thank you so much! ;)
