MUSIC MUSTER

A poster on the wall declared “Music Muster”.
What could this be? You think in a fluster.
A “Muster” is an assembling of men for inspection.
To “Pass Muster”, one is considered to be adequate, no infection.
A “Music Muster” must then be an assembly of musicians.
Probably each with their personal physicians
The dangers of drug overdose and hearing impediment both being great.
The physician might prevent that musician from becoming “late”.
Of course, what they term Music is a misnomer,
Not a “no brainer”, but a “no domer”.
In fact it should be considered a Music Racket!
A series of strident noises, without quality to back it.
But taste in music is in the listeners’ ears,
Some forms of music could drive one to tears!
The definition of “Music” can be readily found,
A combination of notes giving any pleasant sound.
The art of combining sounds in rhythmic, harmonic form,
Doesn’t sound like today’s standards, considered the norm.
A “Racket” is described as an uproar a din!
Clattering cans down the steps, an audio sin!

So what can one say about a Music Muster.
Puts one in mind of the last stand of General Custer,
Could be that it’s all bombast and bluster,
Perhaps swept clean by a figurative feather duster!
Adherents to this discipline always in a fluster.
Never-the-less, like aphids, always in a cluster.
