FLIGHT OF FANCY

Those magnificent men in their flying machine,
Flying high up in the air, you can see where they’ve been.
As they roar through the air, they do, without fail,
Leave a clearly distinguishable vapour trail.
They swoop up and down in a barrel roll,
Seeming in good humour, no never droll.
Looping the loop, nothing pear shaped,
As those on the ground, open-mouth, gaped.

Now that vapour trail streaming red blue and white.
What a picture, such an incredible sight.
Formation flying, with perfect precision,
Some ‘planes to the right, some left, a spectacular division!
Those magnificent men in their flying machines,
Flying all day, no access to any Latrines.
Though those magnificent men could fly very fast,
They ensure they limited their pre-flight repast.
As they zoomed past at Mach-speed just as they ought,
As they broke the sound barrier, gave a loud report!
A sonic boom, if you do prefer,
Their tail winds, like tornados, did stir!
Such strong tail winds they did incur.

Now here they do come, in to land,
Hear their engines roar, it’s ever so grand!
Here there is one, two, three,
Precision flying, I’m sure you’ll agree!
Then four, five, six,
The crowd roared approval for all these tricks!
As impressively powerful as these machines are,
They can be capable of leaving a nuclear scar.
