Daily digital 08
I worked two days on this digital painting, so it is not exactly daily.
I wanted to write something for #stoom-afblazen (blowing of steam) but words didn't come and instead a lot of confusion formed this picture in my minds eye.
The character in this artwork is standing for advice that's totally unnecessary, creating angst or uncertainty and totally besides the point. But it is coming from a good heart and although it is very irritating you may not scream in there face that you are not stupid and they should think a bit before creating a condescending opinion.
Things that are, if you think about it, not more than advising to heal your broken leg by building a treehouse and to stop eat peacocks. 'They make you really sick, you know. It is bad for everybody, I wouldn't eat that orange if I were you.' Said the advisor between putting four spoons of peacock in her own cup of coffee.

I think it might be the 2faced advice itself.
Ik moest er even over nadenken want soms zie je zelf iets over het hoofd. Ze staat voor het verwarrende advies waarin mensen het wellicht goed bedoelen maar jou en de situatie waarin je verkeerd totaal onderuit halen.
Ja, ik ken het... het bekende 'er-te-dicht-op-zitten-fenomeen :-)
Maar ik bedoelde werkelijk niets anders dan: heb je in je schilderij jezelf als uitgangspunt gebruikt. Ik meen in je schilderij je gezicht te herkennen, of: je profielfoto en het gezicht in dit schilderij vertonen overeenkomsten.
Die vraag staat los van de betekenis van het schilderij ;-)
oh haha, Ik snap je nu. Nee, ik heb mijn eigen gezicht niet bewust gebruikt. Maar het schijnt wel zo te zijn dat je onbewust je eigen trekken gebruikt omdat je die vaak ziet als het gemiddelde.
