RE: LOGOS FOR OPERATION TRANSLATION (English/Spanish/French/Italian)

in #art8 years ago

Looks great!

Portuguese too, but it might be almost exactly like Spanish. You could toy with some of the others and see what you get, in case they're recognizable intuitively.

Just by getting the look right, it's branded. So once everyone is familiar with the look, it won't matter what language it's in. With this in mind, maybe providing it in any/every language that is translated on the site would work nicely. There's a community aspect to doing it this way that's inclusive end embracing of the diversity.

I'm actually pretty excited about this concept. But I might be prejudice. :P

What do you think?

Thanks @anotherjoe, i tried with portuguese language but the translation is "operação de tradução" and i really don´t know where to put the Upvote picture, I´am agree with you once everyone is familiar with the look no will matter what language it's in logo, looking forward with this initiative, and I will try to help how much i can.

Thank you @oecp85!!

You're using all uppercase, right? So it would be OPERAÇÃO TRADUÇÃO?
I wonder if it would be acceptable for branding to just replace the little ~ with the upvote button?

Anyone here know Portuguese well enough to provide input?

That's the thing with branding - you can get away with a lot of creativity and make some aspects a bit abstract. Maybe this would work well? As you can see, I have more questions than answers. :)

No sense you spinning your wheels unless you really like this aspect. Maybe @papapepper and others can weigh in when he gets a chance to catch up.

Let's wait if some portuguese friend read this post and give us an idea, i will be happy to make it.
