Pyrography art - New work

Earlier this week I started this woodburning, after a walk in the park. I still need to adjust to the new woodburning station as it's different from a woodburning pen; sometimes it easier to work with a station.
Below you can see some photos with the progress and a video, for those who missed the Live Instagram video.

Is the burning pretty instantaneous? Or is there a bit of lag where you have to leave it for a bit? Hard to tell sped up, but looks very quick, like drawing. Thanks for sharing your newer process with us.
It's just a matter of a few seconds. If I keep the pen on the wood too long it would burn deeper. I guess I could do a normal speed video someday.
