How to make Felt fir tree decorations
If you have pieces of felt lying around, like I do, this decoration is perfect and easy to make. I had these pieces of green felt since Easter when I made some felt baskets, and thought this is a good occasion to use them.
Supplies:
- green color felt
- scissors
- pen
- thread
- glue
- glitter glue
On a piece of cardboard (or paper) make the shape for the fir tree. Using this shape, draw the outlines on the piece of felt. This way it will be easier to cut felt trees of the same shape.
You can decorate the trees using glitter glue, or add a different shade of green to the middle portion of the tree. You can use glue to secure the different shade of felt on the tree. Before adding all the trees to the thread, using a needle, you should wait for the glitter glue to dry. I didn't wait and it smudged a little and got glitter all over my hands. Or add the glitter after you added all the trees to the piece of thread.
And that's it, you have your very own felt tree decoration.
