The light shines in the darkness - Collaborative Art Journey #21
This is my first time entering into the Collaborative Art Journey or any collaborative work on Steemit. What a wonderful opportunity for art put together by @everlove. It really is inspiring thinking of artists all over the globe participating and supporting one another.
Here is the base offered for the collaborative piece:
The photo initially lended itself to something otherworldly, which made me pull together the following imagery I might incorporate into my final piece.
As I reflected on the initial offering further, the color contrast of gold and black stood out to me. It almost seemed like one might swallow the other up. And then a bible verse came to mind (John 1:5) which seemed to fit where my thoughts were headed: the battle of light versus darkness and the promise of overcoming.

Thank you so much. That means a lot coming from you. It's so interesting how you don't know where a piece will go when you start a journey and then it comes to life along the way. That's how this one felt for me.
Oh so true. Often times those are the pieces that resonate with us the most--just surrendering to what wants to come through. it's a truly stunning piece @allforthegood. So glad we are on this journey together!
