Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una ilustración para niños.
Today I want to share with you an illustration for children.
Ésta ilustración tuvo un proceso curioso, pues es hecha manualmente en su totalidad, y adaptada digitalmente para su edición e impresión. Es una ilustración editorial para un libro para niños.
This illustration had a curious process, as it is made entirely by hand, and digitally adapted for editing and printing. It is an editorial illustration for a children's book.

Hice el dibujo en grafito, utilizando un lápiz de dureza 2b. Luego lo escanee y limpié las líneas para que no se observara algún punto del grafito o alguna mancha indeseable propia de la textura del papel.
I made the drawing with a 2b pencil. Then I scanned it and cleaned the linesso that there was no unwanted stain or marks.
Pinté el dibujo con acuarelas. Ésta es la parte novedosa. El dibujo que pinté no tenía líneas, era eran solo puntos de acuarela sobre papel, siguiendo la silueta.
I painted the drawing with watercolors. This is the novel part. The drawing I painted had no lines, it was just watercolor dots on paper, following the silhouette.
Realicé el montaje del dibujo y la pintura utilizando adobe Photoshop. De esta manera garantizaba que las lineas tuvieran la intensidad que deseaba, así como poder cambiarles el tono cuando quisiera sin necesidad de alterar los tonos de la acuarela. Una vez realizado el montaje, coloqué digitalmente algunas hojas llevadas por el viento, que pinté en acuarelas manualmente, así sombras, pintando con color morado muy suave y transparente y colocando la capa el modo multiplicar.
I assembled the drawing and painting using adobe Photoshop. In this way, I guaranteed that the lines had the intensity I wanted, as well as being able to change the tone whenever I wanted without altering the watercolor tones. Once the assembly was done, I digitally placed some leaves carried by the wind, which I painted in watercolors manually, thus shadows, painting with a very soft and transparent purple color and placing the layer in multiply mode.
Dupliqué la capa de líneas, de forma que se vieran más intensas, dejando el tono de las acuarelas intacto. Agregué estrellas pintadas digitalmente.
I doubled the layer of lines, so that they looked more intense, leaving the tone of the watercolors intact. I added digitally painted stars.
Así culminé esta ilustración destinada a un libro de poemas para niños escrito por un talentoso amigo escritor. Éste proyecto aún se encuentra en proceso de construcción.
