Skeleton collage for a limited edition art book
I've have already published the first one , a skull collage.
Dumerchez editions asked me ,as other artists ,to do a artbook for a serie called "Leporello" . It's a fold out little book.
Now i'll show you the second one, a skeleton.
For the first I exploited the accordion with one image per page, for the second I instead made a single image. I found it interesting the skeleton that folds. The reading direction has change from horizontal to vertical.
All has been done under Photoshop with only images taken on internet: Antique engravings and circuit boards drawings.
The background is composed of 4 zones: a text in manuscript, a text of the Encyclopedia of Diderot reference work of the XVIIIth century French, computer code in hexadecimal and a computer program.
Colors used are primary and secondary colors plus white and black. High quality giclee print . 30 copies numbered and signed.
Thank you for your votes , shares and more if you wish
It's awesome. Excellent blending of past & future, so many levels of interpretation! The part of the skeleton made from circuits is great, and personally I prefer the version of the skeleton with the b&w circuits, I think they are more distinct in b&w.
Your older post, the Skull Collage, is also great. Seems like you are also good in collages! As long as it contains some skulls! ;)
Thanks nyarlathotep, i'm sorry, i'm trying to do other things but skulls always come back, they must love me :-)
great
Thanks ;-)
