Eye sore. (Train drawing)
Here is yet another piece I did while commuting on the train in early 2011.
9x12" pen on thin paper while riding the not so consistent Chicago trains
Looking back at this pieces from 7-8 years ago, I kind of miss my old drawings. I do think they are certainly not as defined or clean as my more current work... but I do think they are a bit more bizarre and creative than what I'm doing currently.
Maybe it's complete nostalgia or just the sort of mindset that I had back then that makes me miss how I was drawing back then. I was a complete drunk and mentally in an extremely bad state. This drawing though, seems to be a bit goofy and kind of funny to me now.

Eye think this is an amazing drawing, so much character to it. If I'm going on a train I'll take my sketchbook too, drawing around all those jolts and bumps as the train is moving just adds to the fun of the process!
I get inspiration from all the jarring unintended lines when drawing on a train; until I get sick.

I can totally capture your state of mind looking at it.. I did not read until I was done looking at your drawing. I see the darkness but also humor in it like you said.. Making art is a good way to process things imo.. and looking back you can see the differences in your state of mind through the years.. I like it...
